<p>Under the general supervision of the AVP, Contracts or an attorney, the Paralegal - Contracts Analyst will apply critical thinking skills to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide reinsurance contract support to SCOR's US Life business operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Draft and/or review reinsurance contracts and related documents in compliance with internal business practices and research and document findings relating to in-force treaties</p> </li><li> <p>Enhance the US Life legal department's efficiency and improve internal processes by implementing and optimizing legal technology solutions, including using state of the art legal AI tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Certificate in Paralegal studies from an accredited institution a plus but not required</p> </li><li> <p>(Re)insurance industry experience preferred but not required</p> </li><li> <p>Outstanding organizational skills and interpersonal skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to both understand the "big picture" and pay attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability and willingness to learn and adopt new tools and technologies, including AI-based platforms. Demonstrated ability to both understand the "big picture" and pay attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel).</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively within a team environment and to work proactively.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently.</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of professional work experience preferred but not required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Relocation assistance within the U.S. is available for this position.</p> <p>Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.</p> <p>Hybrid Work Policy: SCOR is committed to an "in office" culture where people can collaborate, exchange ideas, and establish stronger working relationships while still providing flexibility. SCOR employees work 3 days per week in an office with</p> <p>the flexibility to work 2 days per week remotely.</p> <p>Pay Range for roles performed in NC: $113,000-$138,000 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including</p> <p>but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation</p> <p>package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long term incentives.
