This is a seasonal position at Camp Webb within the Information and Education Division. The Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing services to patients in state facilities and may supervise Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Practical Nurse Applicants/Registered Nurse Applicants or unlicensed assistive staff in the implementation of nursing policies and procedures.</p> <p>This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time or recurring need of less than nine (9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains licensure for the length of employment to perform medical treatment and administer medications, as prescribed, to Camp Webb campers and staff. Intervenes when emergency care is required. Promotes health maintenance and prevention of illness for campers and staff at Conservation Camp Webb. </li><li>Maintains essential documentation in medicine administration logs, medical treatment logs, and incident logs/reports as medication is administered to campers and/or staff, medical treatment is performed on campers and/or staff, and incidents occur which required a response by a medical professional. </li><li>Supervises, teaches, delegates, and oversees other personnel in the performance of nursing care activities such as Camp Director. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Abilities include, but are not limited to, the following:</p> <ul> <li>Certified Registered Nurse </li><li>Responsible and positive outlook. </li><li>A willingness to work as part of a team. </li><li>A self-starter/motivated individual. </li><li>Adaptability and Flexibility. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION: See Special Requirements.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE</p> <p>Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE</p> <p>Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52116 https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53751 https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/kar/201/020/070/ https://kbn.ky.gov/Pages/index.aspx Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
