<p>JobID: 310</p> <p>Category: Crafts/Trades</p> <p>JobSchedule: Full time</p> <p>Posted Date: 2026-01-07T12:29:55+00:00</p> <p>JobShift:</p> <p>:</p> <ul> <li>Observe, troubleshoot, inspect, adjust and repair mechanical devices used in operations. </li><li>Start devices to test performance. </li><li>Examine physical conditions (form, texture, heat, noise) of parts to detect problems. </li><li>Dismantle devices to gain access to/remove/repair/replace defective parts. </li><li>Adjust functional parts of devices and controls to identify correction. </li><li>Repair electrical equipment. </li><li>Initiate purchase order for parts and machines. </li><li>Lubricate and clean parts. </li><li>Install special functional and structural parts in devices. </li><li>Set up and operator lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts. </li><li>Operating a forklift for the maintenance, production, and shipping departments. </li><li>General plant cleanup, including but not limited to, sweeping with push broom and vacuuming warehouse floors, cleaning hoppers and taking waste to the landfill. </li><li>Picking up trash on plant property, painting, cutting/pulling weeks, operate the water and/or dump truck, moving empty and loaded trailers as required using the yard truck. </li><li>Filing paperwork, assisting with inventory counts, data entry, quality analysis/equipment calibrations, and equipment monitoring/inspections. </li><li>Conduct safety audits and attend/assist with training/presentations as required Additional duties as assigned. </li><li>High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred. </li><li>3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>High level of safety and quality. </li><li>Ability to multi-task at a fast-pace (at times), work in outside conditions during all seasons, climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms, use hand tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.). </li><li>Good problem-solving skills. </li><li>Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge - Preferred. </li><li>Forklift experience - Preferred. </li><li>Computer Software - Preferred. </li><li>Warehouse experience - Preferred. </li><li>Previous Manufacturing experience is preferred. </li><li>Follows policies and procedures, responds to management direction. </li><li>Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Prioritizing and plans work activities. </li><li>Strives to increase productivity. </li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply and dive in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. </li><li>Ability to use word processing software, spreadsheets, email and internet. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. </li><li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. </li><li>3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li></ul> <p>U.S. Silica is a leading producer of industrial minerals essential to modern life.
