We are currently seeking an experienced: MOBILITY TRANSPORT SPECIALIST FULL TIME JOB SUMMARY: After notification by the Transportation Coordinator of a needed appointment, he/she will safely transport all residents/patients/clients, as well as other individuals/clients external to Liberty Health facilities. Will maintain a calendar of all appointments and ensure all assigned transports are completed. Will follow all safety guidelines to ensure resident transports are performed in the safest possible manner. Will maintain required paper/electronic logs of each transport and for each vehicle. Completes Quality Assurance monitors according to policies and procedures. Assists in maintaining a good working relationship with the community, hospitals, physician offices and other health care facilities and agencies and assuring professional services for residents/clients. Will assist with basic vehicle maintenance including inspections, restocking, vehicle and equipment cleaning/disinfecting## Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor. # JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 21 years of age or older, must be of good moral character, and have a genuine concern for the elderly and disabled. Must have CPR, First Aid Training, and wheelchair safety training. Must possess one of the following certifications:#Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Emergency Medical Responder. Must have a skill checklist completed by Liberty trainer prior to transporting residents. Must have a valid state Driver#s License to operate a motor vehicle with an appropriate driving record.# Criminal/Driving records must be approved by the Transportation Manager. Must be willing to work with various department directors, patients, family members, and community health care providers. Must have the ability to plan, organize, and follow-up on work assignments.
