Read more here.</p> <p>ROLE OVERVIEW</p> <p>To coordinate all athletic program activities and supervise staff implementing the programs.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li> <p>New Jersey Supervisor's Certificate.</p> </li><li> <p>New Jersey Teacher's Certificate.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate knowledge of the major sports.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of NJSIAA rules and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U. S. citizenship or legal resident alien status</p> </li><li> <p>A valid driver's license as well as current insurance and vehicle with valid registration</p> </li><li> <p>Required criminal history background check, physical, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status</p> </li></ul> <p>ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Major responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Major responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: </li><li>To supervise the athletic program in consultation with the Principal and/or with the Superintendent. </li><li>To participate in the interview process used to select coaches. </li><li>To act as a consultant to the administration and coaching personnel on matters pertaining to the school's athletic program </li><li>To hold departmental meetings with coaches and other staff whenever necessary; to keep them informed of all matters pertaining to the athletic program. </li><li>To supervise all athletic facilities; schedule practice use; and to recommend maintenance and repairs. </li><li>To develop a schedule for all interscholastic athletic events for the school. To be submitted through the Principal. </li><li>To attend and when directed to represent the school at all district, athletic events, state meetings, and conferences relating to the athletic programs as approved. </li><li>To ensure that the athletic department is in compliance with NJSIAA rules and regulations. </li><li>To prepare the school's athletic bus transportation schedule. </li><li>To act as Tournament Manager for all league and district activities that are assigned to the school. </li><li>To release to the press and the electronic media, publicity on coming events involving the school's athletics program, in accordance with Board Policies and in cooperation with Office of Communication. </li><li>To coordinate with the appropriate personnel, the stopping and starting time schedule for bands, pregame ceremonies, and halftime programs. </li><li>To keep the Principal informed of all matters pertaining to the athletic department. </li><li>To coordinate with the Principal, in determining needs and to establish a schedule of specific assignments, job duties, and reporting times for all personnel involved with athletic events; for example: security, ticket sales/takers, custodians, etc. </li><li>To inform visiting teams and officials of the pertinent details of their participation: time schedule, dressing facilities, etc. </li><li>To assist the Athletic Trainer in arranging to have a doctor and ambulance available at all home varsity football games. </li><li>To provide supervision and security adhering to NJSIAA guidelines for all home athletic events as well as away events, when necessary. </li><li>To provide supervision and evaluation and evaluation of Athletic Trainer. </li><li>To provide input into preparation of the school's budget as it relates to the athletic program. </li><li>To administer voucher payment system in accordance with board policy. </li><li>To prepare annually the equipment, supply need requisitions and prepare the Title XI Report. </li><li>To process permits for use of athletic facilities </li></ul> <p>We are seeking individuals who will exemplify the District's core values:</p> <p>Respect and Humility</p> <p>We serve our community by recognizing the strengths, experiences, and perspectives of others.
