<p>The IT Desktop Support Technician will screen and respond to IT Helpdesk requests. He or she will install, modify, and make minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems. Additionally, he or she will provide technical advice and support to system users.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Configure and deploy the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements </li><li>Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives on users' workstations </li><li>Load appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications </li><li>Assist in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users' requirements </li><li>Provide telephone, desktop and online support to end-users </li><li>Provide routine support for servers, network and LIMS systems </li><li>Document proper resolution, status and update information for all issues and requests in ticketing system and ensure communication with all applicable users and managers as needed </li><li>Escalate major problems to tier 3 support personnel for correction </li><li>Assist IT administrators and managers as needed </li></ul> <p>Other Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Participate in process improvements, including process definition, measurement analysis, and implementation of controls </li><li>Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals </li><li>Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill </li><li>Other duties as required and assigned </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required </li><li>A minimum of two (2) years' experience providing desktop support strongly preferred </li><li>CompTIA A+ Hardware and Microsoft MCP certification strongly preferred </li><li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, networking and TCP/IP, and Information Systems Security principles strongly preferred </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>Tuesday - Saturday, 9am - 6pm (onsite, with one day per week being remote after new hire period is successfully completed)</p> <p>Aegis Sciences Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>www.aegislabs.com</p>
