<ul> <li> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> </li><li> <p>Performs medical laboratory tests, procedures, experiments, and analyses to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by performing required duties and responsibilities.</p> </li><li> <p>DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> </li><li> <p>Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, spinal fluid, and other specimens to determine presence of normal and abnormal components</p> </li><li> <p>Analyzes and verifies test results prior to release of findings for filing into the information system</p> </li><li> <p>Performs quality control studies according to established protocols and routine preventative maintenance and equipment checks according to established schedule</p> </li><li> <p>Responds to queries by other members of the hospital care team, such as physicians, in a courteous and timely manner</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in the orientation and training of new laboratory employees</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains professional growth and certification as it applies to the responsibilities of the position.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs STAT testing within the established turn-around guidelines</p> </li><li> <p>Reports malfunction of equipment and/or computer to supervisor immediately</p> </li><li> <p>EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum requirement:</p> </li><li> <p>Associates degree (A.
