<p>Dentist- Community Health Alliance</p> <p>Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in your community? Community Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking for a Dentist to join our dedicated team of Dental providers. We are committed to serving individuals and families from all walks of life, ensuring access to comprehensive, quality care and creating healthier outcomes for every member of our community - regardless of income level.</p> <p>With six conveniently located health centers across Reno and Sparks, CHA offers a full spectrum of services, including medical, dental, pediatric care, behavioral health, low-cost pharmacies, food pantries, and more.</p> <p>Position Overview: The Dentist is responsible for providing high-quality, comprehensive general dental care to patients of all ages within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. This role involves diagnosing and treating a broad range of oral health issues, performing preventive and restorative procedures, managing urgent care cases, and providing supervision to dental support staff and students. The Dentist plays a vital role in advancing patient education, clinical excellence, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.</p> <p>What We Offer</p> <ul> <li> <p>Competitive Salary Range: $154,529-$247,244 (based on experience)</p> </li><li> <p>Health Coverage:</p> </li><li> <p>100% employer-paid medical insurance for employees</p> </li><li> <p>90% employer-paid vision and dental insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Coverage begins the first of the month following your hire date</p> </li><li> <p>Student Loan Repayment:</p> </li><li> <p>Eligible for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) program - CHA boasts a competitive HPSA score of 19, making most providers eligible</p> </li><li> <p>Continuing Education:</p> </li><li> <p>40 hours and $1,800 annually for professional development</p> </li><li> <p>Generous Paid Time Off:</p> </li><li> <p>6.4 weeks off in your first year, including the 5 days for continuing education</p> </li><li> <p>8 paid holidays per year</p> </li><li> <p>Retirement Benefits:</p> </li><li> <p>5% CHA-paid pension plan after one year of service (no employee match required)</p> </li><li> <p>Optional 403(b) retirement annuity plan available</p> </li><li> <p>Additional Benefits:</p> </li><li> <p>100% reimbursement for licensing, registration, and certifications</p> </li><li> <p>Malpractice insurance covered through FTCA (Federal Tort Claims Act)</p> </li><li> <p>$10,000 employer-sponsored Accidental Death & Dismemberment policy at no cost</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop diagnoses, and implement treatment plans for diverse oral health conditions. </li><li>Deliver preventive, restorative, and emergency dental services, including quadrant dentistry and minor surgical interventions. </li><li>Prescribe appropriate medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and provide timely treatment referrals. </li><li>Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and disease prevention to support long-term oral health. </li><li>Coordinate specialty care referrals when clinically indicated. </li><li>Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). </li><li>Ensure compliance with appropriate CDT, ICD-10, and other billing codes in accordance with CHA and payer guidelines. </li><li>Monitor and follow up on lab results, abnormal findings, and missed patient appointments to ensure continuity of care. </li><li>Adhere strictly to HIPAA, OSHA, and CHA clinical protocols, infection control policies, and safety regulations. </li><li>Participate actively in quality assurance processes including peer chart reviews, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. </li><li>Ensure operatory readiness and equipment maintenance meets all safety and compliance standards. </li><li>Provide clinical direction and mentorship to dental assistants, students, and mid-level providers. </li><li>Evaluate competencies and support professional development for support staff. </li><li>Precept dental students during rotations, ensuring safety and adherence to educational objectives. </li><li>Collaborate effectively with colleagues in interdisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and improvement projects. </li><li>Represent CHA in outreach activities, educational programs, and community health events. </li><li>Foster a clean, safe, and professional work environment that reflects CHA's core values and mission. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>DDS or DMD degree from a U.S. accredited dental school. </li><li>Active, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Nevada. </li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification. </li><li>Valid Nevada Controlled Substance License and DEA registration. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a community health center or FQHC setting. </li><li>Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred. </li><li>Experience with electronic dental or medical records systems (EHR/EDR). </li></ul>
