At FJUHSD, we believe in the power of community, innovation, and excellence to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their highest potential.</p> <p>Under the direction of the Director of Student Support Services, the MHSOSA is a resource for schools, families, and students. This MHSOSA provides leadership and coordination in developing and improving mental health, academic, and behavioral interventions, programs, services, and community outreach. The MHSOSA evaluates our students' educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being, intervenes when appropriate to address student needs, connects students and families to district and community resources, and develops systems, services, and resources that support our schools in identifying and responding effectively to student needs. The MHSOSA supports the continued development and implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), the Child Youth Behavior Health Initiative (CYBHI), and SBHIP at the district and school-site levels. </p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li> <p>MHSOSA is responsible for formulating and fulfilling the vision for wellness overall, with an emphasis on district-wide wellness services and the MTSS wellness model</p> </li><li> <p>Lead Mental Health Specialists take full responsibility for all aspects of the district-wide wellness program and support the development of coaching and training opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Develop, manage, and execute a plan to fully implement CYBHI billing across the District to fund District wellness support services</p> </li><li> <p>Create, deliver, and support wellness professional development needs</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate District-wide wellness campaigns</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the wellness internship program, including university coordination, screening, schedules, orientation, clearance, and placement</p> </li><li> <p>Oversight of all suicide risk screeners, ensuring legal compliance </p> </li><li> <p>Organize and advise suicidal hospitalization re-entries</p> </li><li> <p>Manage all aspects of the District's relationship with contracted agencies and community partners, clearance and placement including the equitable distribution of resources across the District</p> </li><li> <p>Implementation and management of community resources such as Hazel Health, VCC, Seneca, Care Solace, and others</p> </li><li> <p>Collect, monitor and analyze discipline data, and work with site administration teams to create practical alternatives to suspension programs, utilizing data to inform planning and strategies</p> </li><li> <p>Provide technical assistance to administrators, teachers, and school-based leadership teams to facilitate the implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Support at the district and school levels connected to the Professional Learning Community (PLC) process</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate collaborative planning and inquiry within the District Set For Success program with district and school-based teams and support the work of Professional Learning Communities </p> </li><li> <p>Provide MHS services on site as needed </p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate yearly wellness surveys, disaggregate data, and share the findings</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with district and building administrators to design an individualized attendance, discipline, and wellness plan for each school that is focused on the creation and utilization of an MTSS system that supports all students</p> </li><li> <p>Support sites in using data to make decisions about intervention support for students and the development of intervention and extended learning programs </p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with district staff on curriculum design for summer school intervention programs and monitoring student progress </p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with the Ed Services team and other Student Services TOSAs to better serve stakeholder groups </p> </li><li> <p>Prepare & distribute resources and training for administrators, teachers, classified staff, and parents to support various wellness needs </p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate programs and services to increase effectiveness and best support current needs</p> </li><li> <p>Develop, prepare, communicate, and distribute training and materials for Red Ribbon Week for all schools</p> </li><li> <p>Implement OCDE initiatives, manage grants, and the multi-payer implementation with DHCS, Cal Optima, and OCDE</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise and monitor MediCal Administrative Activities districtwide </p> </li><li> <p>Analyzes department budget, allocates resources, and monitors expenditures </p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate all aspects of crisis intervention, including coordination with OCDE and the maintenance of case records and documentation coordination of the mobile crisis intervention team and follow-up care service and support access to resources for schools, families, and students post-crisis </p> </li><li> <p>Pursues grants and other funding opportunities to augment the program and administer implementation </p> </li><li> <p>Develop & implement staff professional learning and parent engagement related to behavioral, social-emotional wellness, and mental health needs of students </p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate programs and services to increase effectiveness and best support current needs</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with city and county organizations</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience/Licences Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, social work,or psychology, and,</p> </li><li> <p>Possession and maintenance of pupil personnel services credential (PPS: School Counselor; School Child Welfare and Attendance; School Psychology; or School Social Worker), and</p> </li><li> <p>Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW);</p> </li><li> <p>Two years of post-masters experience working with adolescents in an educational, individual and family therapy service setting as LMFT or LCSW.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with “of promise” students. </p> </li><li> <p>Proof of graduate intern supervisor training in order to supervise interns from local colleges or universities, and experience supervising interns is preferred. </p> </li><li> <p>Valid California Class C Driver’s Licence.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
