<p>Built on meritocracy, our unique company culture rewards self-starters and those who are committed to doing what is best for our customers.</p> <p>Brown & Brown is Seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our growing team in Syracuse, NY.</p> <p>This Account Manager is responsible for providing service associated with the administration of Employee Benefits policies and providing all necessary support to the production efforts to achieve department goals and objectives. This is not a Human Resources role. This role is an account management role that requires you to hold an active Life & Health insurance license.</p> <p>How You Will Contribute</p> <ul> <li>Participate in client meetings/sales calls with brokers, employee enrollment meetings, and all departmental service meetings. </li><li>Responsible for the servicing of selected Group Agency Accounts. Functions include but are not limited to reconciliation of claim issues, benefit inquiries, enrollment issues, and carrier premium billing discrepancies. </li><li>Handle telephone inquiries. </li><li>Intake and audit control of enrollment information. </li><li>Track inquiries and complaints regarding carrier claims resolution. </li><li>Act as liaison to intervene with delays in claim processing. </li><li>Correspond with carriers, members, and providers to educate, clarify benefits, resolve claims, verify eligibility, and resolve disputes. </li><li>Investigate, research, and provide timely responses to all service issues. </li><li>Assists with the implementation of new Business. </li><li>Assist with training of new Account Managers. </li><li>Routinely educate on current or pending Federal and State legislation regarding HIPAA, COBRA laws, FMLA, and any other legal issues pertaining to Employee Benefits. </li><li>Pursue a program of personal and professional development. </li></ul> <p>Licenses and Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>NYS Life, Accident & Health License required. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Experience to Be Successful</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>College degree preferred but not required with appropriate work experience. </li><li>3 years in Employee Benefits customer service at an agency or company level is preferred. </li><li>Must have basic computer knowledge in Windows environment, create spreadsheets with appropriate computer programs. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 </li></ul> <p>#LI_DA1</p> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>$65,000 - $75,000 Annual</p> <p>The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.</p> <p>Teammate Benefits & Total Well-Being</p> <p>We go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including:</p> <ul> <li>Health Benefits: Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance </li><li>Financial Benefits: ESPP; 401k; Student Loan Assistance; Tuition Reimbursement </li><li>Mental Health & Wellness: Free Mental Health & Enhanced Advocacy Services </li><li>Beyond Benefits: Paid Time Off, Holidays, Preferred Partner Discounts and more. </li></ul> <p>Not reflective of all benefits.
