<p>SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company's reports and statements. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential as this position will be communicating to Sr Leadership, and responsible for driving strategic projects.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Performs general financial accounting and other related duties for the organization. </li><li>Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements. </li><li>Maintains the general ledger, Chart of Accounts, and ensures proper tracking and backup of all Balance Sheet accounts. </li><li>Works with AP, AR and Cash personnel to ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of all subledgers. </li><li>Tracks and reconciles all Capital projects and ensures proper CIP accounting and reporting. </li><li>Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit. </li><li>Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies. </li><li>Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software. </li><li>Responsible for creating and managing key projects related to software implementation, and process improvement. </li><li>Educates various stakeholders on key processes, systems, and best practices. </li><li>Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. </li><li>Will be required to learn Cost Accounting associated with industry. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, or finance </li><li>Experience: 5+ years' experience, manufacturing experience preferred. </li><li>Must have strong technical and analytical skills with solid accounting background. </li><li>Cost accounting experience is beneficial, but not necessary to start. </li><li>Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external clients. </li><li>Ability to lead a team or project from inception to completion, with specific objectives and time lines. </li><li>Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections with a strong attention to detail. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to make solid, objective, ethical decisions. </li><li>Able to maintain strict confidence in financial sensitive information and demonstrate a high level of integrity. </li><li>Excellent communication and analysis skills required accompanied with a persona of a high character teammate. </li><li>Demonstrable experience with PCs, financial spreadsheets, and accounting software. Preferred experience specifically working with AMTECH reporting software. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, Power Point, BI. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment and interact effectively with other groups and departments, clients, and partners. </li><li></li></ul>
