<p>Job Title: Mechanical Designer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The HVAC Designer will be responsible for designing and producing a complete set of HVAC drawings for restaurant construction projects using AutoCAD. This role requires strong experience in HVAC design, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a thorough understanding of HVAC codes and regulations.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct detailed HVAC calculations to determine heating and cooling loads, equipment sizing, and system performance. </li><li>Develop and design HVAC systems for restaurant projects, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning using AutoCAD, including equipment selection. </li><li>Produce a complete set of HVAC drawings, including plans, schematics, and details, adhering to project specifications and industry standards. </li><li>Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of HVAC designs within the overall project. </li><li>Ensure all HVAC designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards. </li><li>Take feedback from Senior Designers and make necessary modifications based on project requirements. </li><li>Stay updated with the latest advancements in HVAC design, AutoCAD software, and industry best practices. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in HVAC Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC design, preferably in commercial or restaurant projects. </li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD software is mandatory. </li><li>Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work. </li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment. </li><li>Experience in retail preferred, but experience in hospitality, education, or healthcare is transferable. </li><li>Limited plumbing design experience for simple work such as a single bathroom. </li><li>Experience with Carrier HAP for load calculations or Trane Trace is transferable. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position offers a fully remote work environment for candidates outside of the St. Louis area.
