If you want to deploy and run cutting edge AI algorithms on real production lines with strict timing requirements, this is the perfect opportunity to make a significant impact. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Edge Team, you would play a key role in building and optimizing core systems for running and managing AI Models for Vision Inspection, on a range of different edge hardware platforms.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Design, architect, and implement systems for deploying, maintaining, and running AI models on Edge hardware </li><li>Optimize image pipeline latency, shared memory utilization, and disk usage, to allow better performance on a wider set of hardware platforms </li><li>Maintain and optimize systems for IoT connectivity to the cloud </li><li>Expand support for connecting with other edge devices over standard industrial protocols, like EtherNet/IP, Profinet, and OPC UA </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>At least 10 years of general software experience </li><li>At least 5 years of python experience </li><li>Strong experience with Linux development </li><li>Strong understanding of multi-processing, multi-threading, and/or asyncio </li><li>Not required, but a plus if you have C/C++ experience </li><li>Not required, but a plus if you have any experience with Ubuntu Core </li><li>Not required, but a plus if you have any experience with industrial protocols like EtherNet/IP, Profinet, or OPC UA </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear manner </li><li>Must be available to work in our office in South Pasadena, CA at least 2 days per week </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and equity in line with top tier technology companies </li><li>Top rated health, vision, and dental insurance. </li><li>401k plan to help you save for your future </li><li>Flexible PTO.
