<p>Description</p> <p>VOAC recognizes the unique needs of the older adult who needs a wheelchair ramp to stay at home safely, and the preschooler whose family needs additional resources. VOAC supports veteran's efforts to exit homelessness as well as provides a safe place for survivors of domestic violence. Wherever VOAC goes, it combines relationship-building, volunteers and quality services to lift and support our neighbor's efforts to become self-sufficient and reach their full potential.</p> <p>The Senior Transportation Driver provides assisted transportation trips to senior residents in Clear Creek County from Volunteers of America Senior's Nutrition and Meal on Wheels Programs for medical, grocery, shopping and local priority trips. The Senior Transportation driver delivers meals from the Clear Creek County kitchen to the dining site(s) and to Meal on Wheels clients. The Transportation driver packs, loads, and organizes agency vehicle to ensure efficient delivery of the route. The Senior Transportation Driver cultivates and maintains communication and teamwork with clients, volunteers, coworkers and community partners.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintains and adheres to a published schedule for transportation services within the Volunteers of America programs. </li><li>Coordinates a daily reservation and cancellation system for the transportation service. </li><li>Picks up seniors at their homes, transports for program activities and returns them home safely. </li><li>Develops and maintains routine vehicle safety/ maintenance procedures which will sustain the vehicle in optimum physical and operating condition. </li><li>Maintains cleanliness of company vehicle and delivery equipment. </li><li>Reports any safety or mechanical issues to supervisor through completion of daily vehicle checks and weekly completion of agency vehicle checklist. </li><li>Safely drives company vehicle following all posted speed limits and general traffic laws. </li><li>Maintains records of transportation services provided and prepares statistical data as requested. </li><li>Assists in packaging meals and milk to ensure meals are appropriately sealed and insulated to maintain food safety standards and counts are accurate. </li><li>Deliver food to the meal site(s) and Meal on Wheels clients. </li><li>Manages Meal on Wheels participant caseload, including home visits, six months re-evaluations, Information /referral and follow -up advocacy and home delivery routing. </li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Driving in a company vehicle to a variety of location occasionally in adverse weather conditions. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision.
