<p>Full Time</p> <p>Grace Farms, 365 Lukes Wood Rd. New Canaan, CT</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>About Grace Farms</p> <p>Grace Farms is a center for culture and collaboration in New Canaan, Connecticut. We bring together people across sectors to explore nature, arts, justice, community, and faith at the SANAA-designed River building, situated on 80 acres of natural landscapes. Our humanitarian work to end modern slavery and foster more grace and peace in our local and global communities includes leading the Design for Freedom movement to eliminate forced labor in the building materials supply chain.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Leadership and Management:</p> </li><li> <p>The VEA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the visitor experience on a daily basis. The Supervisor's primary focus is managing, coaching, encouraging, training and developing the Visitor Experience team to ensure that they provide an extraordinary level of hospitality and service so that all visitors to Grace Farms can have a positive, inspirational and educational experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Hires, trains and conducts regular performance reviews, providing ongoing daily feedback to team members - addressing both positive behavior that should be recognized and applauded and behavior that needs improvement. Consistently holds all VEA team members to the highest level of standards in their daily conduct with colleagues and visitors</p> </li><li> <p>Leads by example in terms of treatment of external visitors & internal colleagues.</p> </li><li> <p>Visitor Engagement:</p> </li><li> <p>Paying particular attention to the visitor arrival and departure experiences, the VEA Supervisor makes sure that each visitor is greeted warmly and pro-actively in each volume by VEA team members and implements strategies to help the VEA team enhance each visitors' experience with useful and relevant information about all the Grace Farms offerings while simultaneously recognizing the information capacity and tolerance of each visitor - making sure they are not overwhelmed or underwhelmed</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze visitor feedback and implement improvements (specific to your team and/or pass on significant information to identified departments) based on this feedback.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides VEA team with the knowledge and confidence to appropriately address and resolve visitor complaints/comments/questions with kindness, professionalism and gratitude. Serves as the next level for issues that require escalation.</p> </li><li> <p>Models and encourages the staff to find a multitude of ways to go "above and beyond" on a daily basis in regards to customer service and extraordinary hospitality.</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive visitor experience.</p> </li><li> <p>VEA Operations Management:</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee and ensuring the efficient/accurate day-to-day operations of the visitor experience department, including staffing, ticketing/registration, information desks, the care and maintenance of VEA equipment/technology, signage and visitor flow. .</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures that all volumes where VEA are staffed are in proper order for the day's visitors according to the established curation and aesthetics of each space. Contacts appropriate Leadership and/or other departments as necessary for assistance in addressing anything that needs attention</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the VEA staffing levels effectively to ensure efficient operation of the visitor experience department for day-to-day operations and during events. Responsible for timely and accurate completion of timesheets, weekly schedules, responding to PTO requests, and other departmental HR related tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with the events team to ensure all events have the appropriate staffing and logistical support.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide check-in and operational support to the education team to ensure smooth execution of their programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned or needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Skills, Qualifications, Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum three (3) years superior supervisory experience managing, inspiring, and effectively coaching a visitor/customer facing team. </li><li>High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree highly preferred. </li><li>Proven ability to be an effective trainer and delegator of tasks and responsibilities, empowering teams to serve their customers/visitors the best they possibly can within established Values, policies and protocols of the organization. </li><li>Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills that are effectively applied to broad internal and external audiences </li><li>The proven ability to model an infectious positive and collaborative team player, "can-do" attitude with humility and respect for all team members throughout the organization and external guests. The ability to interact with a diverse range of colleagues and visitors, respecting and valuing cultural differences </li><li>Technologically savvy to easily and productively navigate through a number of different POS, ticketing, calendaring, and/or scheduling platforms. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations and visitor inquiries promptly and efficiently. Keen attention to detail to maintain the quality and aesthetics of the visitor experience and Grace Farms environment. </li><li>Ability to work on-site in New Canaan 5 days a week with the ability to work a flexible schedule that consist of weekends and evenings as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 25 lbs., bending, climbing stairs, walking long distances, standing for extended periods, and handling outdoor conditions. </li></ul> <p>Grace Farms is an equal opportunity employer.
