<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Southeast Region's State Patrol Office Associate provides administrative support and program assistance to the Region Commander, Executive Officers, first-line supervisors, and regional field personnel. This position performs a variety of program assistant duties including supporting operation of the regional materials/supply programs and daily office operations. Other responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Distributing correspondence and reports </li><li>Assisting with open records request responses </li><li>Providing information and assistance to other agencies and the public </li><li>Administering purchasing functions </li><li>Coordinating facility maintenance </li><li>Overseeing incoming/outgoing mail </li></ul> <p>Work is performed independently, exercising good judgment and decision making, under supervision of the Region Commander.</p> <p>Those with strong organization, prioritization, and customer service skills are encouraged to apply!</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in schedule-range (02-10) with a starting hourly rate of $20.63, plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>This state agency does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.</p> <p>A comprehensive background investigation will be conducted as part of the recruitment process for top candidates. Background investigations may include but are not limited to: FBI fingerprinting and criminal history, driving/motor vehicle history, present and former employers, military service, and any private citizen who may be able to speak to your qualifications.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualified applicants must meet all the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with conflicting priorities to meet established deadlines. </li><li>Experience using Microsoft Office or similar products including Word, Excel, and Outlook. </li><li>Experience providing administrative and support activities for a program, area, or office. </li></ul> <p>In addition to all the above, well-qualified applicants must meet one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with vendors to purchase items, coordinate payment, resolve issues with invoices, and/or payment auditing and tracking. </li><li>Experience managing and maintaining inventory such as receiving, inspecting, distributing, and/or packing equipment and supplies. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
