VillageCare has delivered quality health care services to individuals residing within New York City for over 45 years.</p> <p>What's your day like?</p> <p>As a Full-Time Resident Service Associate at VillageCare in New York, NY, you will provide essential personal care services tailored to each resident's individual plan of care, including medication assistance for ALP|EH residents. Your role is vital in ensuring residents' rights and privacy are respected, all while maintaining compliance with our agency's ethical standards and privacy policies. You will complete accurate and timely documentation at the end of each shift, effectively communicating any changes in residents' conditions to your supervisor. Additionally, you will engage in ongoing professional development through 12 hours of in-service training annually. Adherence to infection control measures is paramount, and you will implement proper handwashing, Personal Protective Equipment, and aseptic techniques, all while ensuring the care of equipment aligns with established protocols.</p> <p>Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while thriving in a professional and supportive work environment.</p> <p>What we're looking for in a Resident Service Associate</p> <p>To excel as a Full-Time Resident Service Associate at VillageCare, candidates should possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with a NYS DOH certificate confirming 75 hours of training. While less than six months of related job experience is acceptable, a commitment to quality resident care is essential. Effective sensory skills are crucial for successful communication and interaction with residents, staff, and the public, requiring the ability to see, read, talk, and hear clearly. Manual dexterity is necessary to operate office equipment efficiently, and the role may involve minimal physical tasks, such as bending, carrying, kneeling, and reaching.</p> <p>Additionally, candidates should be capable of lifting up to 10 lbs and may need to stand or remain stationary for extended periods.
