<p>Job Description:</p> <p>LEARN's Office of Student Support Services has anticipated openings for full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to work in our outplacement programs located in Southeastern Connecticut.</p> <p>General Scope of Responsibility</p> <p>Provides direct treatment to students to extend services of the Speech & Language Pathologist and varied levels of consultation to other adults on behalf of the students.</p> <p>Relationship Within the Organization</p> <p>The SLPA will be responsible to the Director of Special Services and supervising Speech Language Pathologist.</p> <p>Specific Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct treatment to students as prescribed, directed and supervised by the certified/licensed SLP and by team goals and objectives. </li><li>Provide varied levels of consultation to other team members and appropriate adults on behalf of the student as determined by the supervising or designated Speech Language Pathologist. </li><li>Contribute to monitoring and adapting student programs. </li><li>Prepare and assist with progress reports and daily notes. </li><li>Maintain equipment and materials. </li><li>Perform other duties associated with the assistant SLP position. </li><li>Meet with supervising Speech Language Pathologist as appropriately determined. </li></ul> <p>Desirable Experience and Training</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field. </li></ul> <p>Upcoming college graduates are encouraged to apply.
