<p>*Promote a lifelong love of reading, learning, and inquiry for all students.</p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain a dynamic school library program aligned with district curriculum, instructional goals, and the district strategic plan. </li><li>Empower students to become critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skilled researchers, and ethical users of information. </li><li>Ensure equitable access to library resources, technology, and information for students and staff. </li><li>Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and administration to support curriculum, research, literacy, and instructional technology initiatives. </li><li>Foster a flexible, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and independent learning. </li><li>Research, develop, organize, and maintain the library collection, digital resources, and curriculum materials. </li><li>Promote and support the effective use of instructional technology and digital literacy skills. </li><li>Stay current with professional practices, educational technology, and library/media trends. </li><li>Serve on school and district committees and participate in school-wide initiatives and duties. </li><li>Administer and manage the school library budget, inventory, and inter-library loan system. </li><li>Supervise parent volunteers and coordinate the annual school book fair. </li><li>Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the Wilmington Public Library and other community resources. </li><li>Complete report cards/grades three times per year. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned </li></ul>
