<p>About the Job</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Spirit Squad Strength and Conditioning Coach will report to the Director of Baskeball and</p> <p>Golf Athletic Performance while developing and executing strength and conditioning programs</p> <p>for the University of Minnesota Spirit Squads. This position is classified as a casual</p> <p>appointment limited to 14 hours a week from September through May of the following year.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <p>90% of time:</p> <p>? Develop and implement strength and conditioning program for spirit squad student-</p> <p>athletes</p> <p>? Collaborate with spirit coaching staff and supervising performance coach on program</p> <p>development.</p> <p>? Teach proper training techniques in the weight room for improved athletic performance. .</p> <p>? Cooperate with athletic training staff in the management of athletic injuries.</p> <p>10% of time:</p> <p>? Attend or complete mandatory training sessions required by the department of</p> <p>intercollegiate athletics</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <p>? Current CPR/AED and certification or the ability to acquire certification prior to the start</p> <p>of employment</p> <p>? Current personal training or strength and conditioning certification from an accredited</p> <p>certifying body (ex :NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA)</p> <p>? Ability to work on site during scheduled training hours including early mornings and</p> <p>evenings</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>? Experience training athletic populations</p> <p>?
