<p>POSITION TITLE: Film/Media Arts Teacher, Tybee Island Maritime Academy</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal</p> <p>WORK DAYS: 190</p> <p>PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide in-person instruction for students that enables them to learn and achieve to the maximum of their abilities.</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Educational Level: Bachelor's Degree</p> </li><li> <p>Certification/License Required: Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate</p> </li><li> <p>Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Communication; Instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners; student management.</p> </li></ol> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>TIMA is seeking a dynamic, talented Film Teacher.</p> <ul> <li>In depth knowledge of the craft of screenwriting, including proper formatting. </li><li>knowledge of the basic principles of pre-production and production management. </li><li>Full knowledge of the basic principles of cinematography including, but not limited to, composition, exposure, color temperature as well as the craft and techniques involved with lighting for video. </li><li>Knowledge of the basic principles of editing fiction and non-fiction video projects. </li><li>Knowledge of the basic principles of sound-recording and mixing. </li><li>Knowledge of the following computer applications - iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Studio. </li><li>Implement film production curriculum </li><li>Assist with Performing Arts performances and/or Middle School Film shoots in whatever capacity needed </li><li>Continuing professional development. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Organizational skills. </li><li>Flexibility. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with regard to children, their parents, and colleagues </li><li>Participates in personal professional development in the area of teaching as well as film production and film making. </li></ul>
