<p>Job Details</p> <p>Level: Experienced</p> <p>Job Location: GEORGE STREET - YORK, PA</p> <p>Position Type: Full Time</p> <p>Education Level: High School</p> <p>Salary Range: Undisclosed</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Family First Health is seeking a Experienced Maintenance Technician with Security Officer experience for a full time position in our York location. As a Maintenance Technician/Security Officer at Family First Health, candidates should have a positive and outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills and strong organizational skills.</p> <p>This position is more than just a job, it's an opportunity to learn and grow with a terrific medical team. If this sounds a like a good fit, we would love to hear from you.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>SECURITY OFFICER:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors. </li><li>Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. </li><li>Circulates among visitors, patrons, or employees throughout the building in order to preserve and protect property. Responsible for completion of security checklist during circulation. </li><li>Answers calmly to alarms and investigates disturbances. </li><li>Calls police and/or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons. </li><li>Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. </li><li>Attends safety committee meetings and fosters a liaison with safety contacts on each floor by meeting monthly/quarterly to assess safety issues and needs. </li><li>Enforces all security and safety policies and procedures. </li><li>Provides any needed assistance to patients, employees and visitors in accordance with established procedures. </li><li>Provides courier services between Family First Health locations, as requested by director. </li><li>Available to work different shifts as needed. </li></ul> <p>MAINTENANCE:</p> <ul> <li>Performs repair work at the Family First Health George Street Location - in the building, mechanical, or electrical trades to ensure site is in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment. </li><li>Demonstrates and utilizes mechanical expertise while performing scheduled and unscheduled general building maintenance repair in the areas of: plumbing, carpentry, painting, and replacement of electrical bulbs, replacement of window shades, and replacement of electrical switches, etc., and is responsible for the decisions regarding methods, materials, tools, and practices used to perform general facilities maintenance. </li><li>Ensures that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for site, and coordinates daily maintenance services with site/department when performing routine assignments (fire safety equipment, elevator operations, etc.) </li><li>Follows all established safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance services. </li><li>Performs routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, sweeping, shoveling, etc. </li><li>Demonstrates project management skills including: thorough evaluation of the project and/or problem troubleshooting; utilization of action plans for projects; effective communication with all impacted parties; mindful consideration of fiscal implications concerning projects; remaining organized in thought, supplies, and approach; and utilization of computer applications pertinent in maintenance/project management. </li><li>Assigned to and expected to maintain and properly utilize company credit card. </li><li>Wears and/or uses safety equipment and supplies (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts, etc.) when lifting or moving heavy objects. </li><li>Keeps work area(s) free of hazardous conditions, i.e., grease/oil spills, excess supplies, equipment, etc., to assure that all established safety rules/regulations are followed at all times. Refer to safety data sheets (SDSs) when necessary. </li><li>Follows established policies governing the use of labels and SDSs. </li><li>Ensures that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing maintenance procedures. </li><li>Dispose of refuse daily in accordance with established sanitation procedures. </li><li>Follows established policies governing the use/disposal of personal protective equipment and disposal of infectious wastes. </li><li>Assists with loading and transporting equipment/materials to other FFH sites and for outreach activities, using proper safety measures. </li><li>Replenishes maintenance supplies in work areas as necessary. </li><li>Performs all other tasks as assigned. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years of experience in security work or law enforcement </li><li>Valid Driver's License </li><li>Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions </li><li>Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation as it relates to correspondence necessary to perform essential job functions </li><li>Proficient keyboarding skills </li><li>Ability to critically think which means the ability to think clearly and rationally about what to do or what to believe; understand logical connections between ideas; and identify, construct, and evaluate arguments </li><li>Ability to successfully complete any security training provided by employer to enhance skillset in the security field </li><li>Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times </li><li>The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas present through spoken words and sentences </li><li>Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively </li><li>Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
