<p>Job Title: Color Laboratory Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Color Lab Shift Supervisor is an integral part of the production team, assisting with organizing mixing operators for pending orders and working closely with Quality Technicians to test products and approve colors for ongoing production jobs. The role involves adjusting and fixing colors swiftly in a fast-paced environment, matching colors with engineering resins, and being hands-on with color match capabilities to meet customer specifications.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Shift Supervisor in organizing mixing operators for pending orders. </li><li>Collaborate with Quality Technicians to test products and approve colors for production. </li><li>Adjust and fix colors efficiently in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Match colors with engineering resins to meet customer specifications. </li><li>Oversee 9 to 10 employees and manage PTO requests. </li><li>Ensure the plant runs safely and efficiently by communicating effectively with production supervisors. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in color matching and color match techniques. </li><li>Experience with spectrophotometry and ability to use a spectrophotometer to measure color. </li><li>Strong communication skills for clear direction and efficient plant operations. </li><li>Positive attitude and creativity. </li><li>Above average math skills. </li><li>Ability to multi-task and perform a variety of duties. </li><li>Excellent attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Excellent eyesight for color differentiation (test will be administered). </li><li>Background in Chemistry is a plus but not required. </li><li>Experience using a spectrophotometer. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position is based in a lab/manufacturing facility with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm, offering schedule flexibility.
