<p>Job Description</p> <p>Salary: 33.35-50.03 USD</p> <p>Facility: Ambulatory Surgery Center Lockport</p> <p>Shift: Shift 1</p> <p>Status: Full Time FTE: 1.000000</p> <p>Bargaining Unit: ACE Associates</p> <p>Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No</p> <p>Work Schedule: Days and Evenings</p> <p>Hours: 7a-3p, 8a-4p, 9a-5p, 10a-6p,11a-7p, no weekends, call or Holidays.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Operating Nurse anticipates and fulfills the needs of the patients, coordinates activities in room, and communicates effectively with staff and others. He/she assures that documentation is appropriate, accurate, and complete. The Operating Nurse collaborates with other disciplines to revise the patient care plans according to changing patient needs. He/she also ensures individual skills are current by attending relevant education programs and maintaining status.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing </li><li>Current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York </li><li>BSN strongly preferred </li><li>BLS Certification required </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Two (2) years of acute care experience required </li><li>One (1) year of operating room experience or completion of a postgraduate perioperative program preferred </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY</p> <ul> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Computer skills </li><li>Ability to communicate with all levels of staff including physicians, etc. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>The position required heavy physical demands of lifting, positioning patients and moving equipment </li><li>Works on a nursing unit and in patient rooms </li></ul>
