<p>Summer Legal Intern</p> <p>Main Functions</p> <p>Lallemand has an opening for a summer legal intern to work with our Intellectual Property Services Group (the "IP Services Group") in support of the LBDS business unit. The IP Services Group is responsible for the procurement and enforcement of Lallemand's patent portfolio. The summer legal intern will assist senior members of the IP Services Group with patent prosecution, dispute resolution, and other legal matters that relate to intellectual property.</p> <p>The summer legal intern will be located in the US and spend at least part of the summer at the Mascoma research facility in Lebanon, New Hampshire. While at Mascoma, the summer legal intern will meet colleagues who create the yeast strains protected by Lallemand's patent portfolio.</p> <p>Technical skills</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>You are a first- or second-year student at a law school in the United States </li><li>You are eligible to become a member of the USPTO's patent bar </li><li>You have good legal research and writing skills </li></ul> <p>An asset</p> <ul> <li>You are already a member of the USPTO patent bar </li><li>You have work experience relating to patents </li><li>You have French language skills </li><li>You have an advanced degree in the chemical or life sciences or prior work experience in the chemical or life sciences </li></ul> <p>Personal abilities</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>You are able to work independently and in a team environment </li><li>You have good communication skills and exhibit good judgment </li><li>You are organized and pay attention to details </li></ul> <p>An asset</p> <ul> <li>You have a demonstrated interest in scientific research </li></ul> <p>General criteria</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>You are able to spend part of the summer at our facility located in Lebanon, New Hampshire </li><li>You have a valid passport and are able to travel to Canada </li></ul> <p>Organization</p> <p>Lallemand is a privately held Canadian company founded in the late 19th century, which develops, produces, and markets microorganisms for various markets.
