Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Operations Support IV is knowledgeable in compliance programs related to wastewater regulations. Will manage the industrial user program, oversee industrial discharge and various other tasks pertaining to the industrial pretreatment program.</p> <ul> <li>Collect and preserve industrial effluent, wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system samples. </li><li>Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and adjust monitoring and data recording equipment. </li><li>Answer questions from various constituents and provide information regarding program requirements, details and specifications. </li><li>Evaluate and interpret regulations for applicability to wastewater operations. </li><li>Implement quality assurance procedures. </li><li>Prepare monthly surcharge for industrial users. </li><li>Review and respond to corrective actions necessary to meet criteria recommendations by third party audits. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires an Associates Degree </li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of related experience </li><li>A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered </li><li>TCEQ Wastewater Class C Operator or TCEQ Wastewater Collections II required within 6 months of hire </li><li>A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - TMRS is a required retirement plan for all full time employees. Each employee automatically contributes 6% of their total compensation and will increase to 7% effective January 1, 2019.
