This position is responsible for developing and tracking project schedules, communicating schedules and upcoming deadlines to project personnel, prompting project personnel to meet milestones and deadlines, coordinating acquisition of equipment and supplies with the purchasing office and vendors, inventorying equipment and material uses, compiling and formatting contributions for reports and presentations from project participants and integrating that content into reports and presentations, schedule meetings, managing and tracking research security training, and working with faculty, research staff, graduate and undergraduate students and subcontractors (totally 40-60 people) to achieve project goals on time and on budget</p> <p>Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience</p> <p>Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.</p> <p>Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields and 2 years of related experience. Prior experience in a project management position. Inventory the acquired research equipment and ensure they are well documented and in place. Track and log the items for field tests and their returns after use. Plan and lead the research lab tour for visitors.</p> <p>Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty</p> <p>Develop templates for common documents using MS Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Define styles and methods to ensure consistency across a multi-member writing team, and standard methods for inserting technical content such as graphics, equations, figure captions, tables, and cross-references.
