The ideal candidate is a seasoned attorney with strong business acumen, exceptional drafting and negotiation skills, and proven experience leading teams in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.</p> <p>A complete job description and minimum qualifications are below.</p> <p>For questions, please contact Katie Barreau at Katie.Barreau@etcconnect.com or 608.824.5329.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Assists the VP of Finance & General Counsel with the following:</p> <p>Drive cross-functional alignment between Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Product teams</p> <p>Oversee legal department budgeting, resource planning, and operation performance</p> <p>Develop and implement scalable processes, templates, and best practices to support growth and operational efficiencies</p> <p>Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate legal and business risks across transactions and operations</p> <p>Draft, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements</p> <p>Lead legal strategy for acquisitions and strategic partnerships</p> <p>Manage entity governance for domestic and global subsidiaries (filings, renewals, registrations)</p> <p>Monitor contract performance and compliance</p> <p>Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments and develop risk mitigation frameworks</p> <p>Oversee data privacy compliance, including GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy frameworks</p> <p>Litigation and dispute management: track and report dispute status and exposure to Finance and executive teams</p> <p>Coordinate and manage external legal counsel to ensure high-quality, cost-effective support</p> <p>Develop and deliver legal training (e.g., contract, regulatory, compliance, ethics) to internal stakeholders</p> <p>Support the development and maintenance of ETCs global intellectual property portfolio</p> <p>Manage the regulatory team</p> <p>Monitoring global regulatory developments that impact products and ETC operations</p> <p>Monitoring applicable product regulatory requirements and assist with compliance post-launch as regulations change</p> <p>Design and maintain regulatory processes and workflows</p> <p>Work with various departments to align practices with regulatory requirements</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <p>Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the company in establishing and carrying out responsibilities</p> <p>Develop and maintain positive communication between department and other departments.</p> <p>Performs the hiring, orientation, training, performance management, career development, and overall employee development of department personnel.</p> <p>Formulates, implements & reviews ISO procedures related to the department</p> <p>Instructs employees about procedures and work instructions</p> <p>Informs employees on company/departmental plans and progress</p> <p>Maintains reporting on all department activities</p> <p>Continue to monitor efficiency in the department and make improvements where appropriate</p> <p>Additional Responsibilities:</p> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion</p> <p>Ability to travel when necessary</p> <p>Required Skills & Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelors degree</p> <p>Juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school</p> <p>Good standing as a member of the Wisconsin State Bar (or the ability to become a member of the Wisconsin State Bar)</p> <p>7 + years of legal experience</p> <p>3 + years of supervisory experience</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of Associate General Counsel</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks without general supervision.</p> <p>Exceptional legal drafting, negotiation and research skills</p> <p>Strong business acumen with ability to identify and balance legal risk and commercial objectives</p> <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p> <p>Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities from multiple stakeholders</p> <p>Experience with cloud-based contract management systems preferred</p> <p>Working knowledge of employment law</p> <p>Strong attention to detail and follow-through</p> <p>Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence, mentor and manage diverse teams</p>
