<p>Are you looking to kickstart your career in manufacturing?</p> <p>Arandell is seeking skilled and dedicated manufacturing employees to join our night shift team, working from 6AM to 6PM for 3 to 4 days per week. These entry-level opportunities in production as a Bindery Technician or Press Assistant are crucial in transforming production requirements into high-quality, functional, and visually appealing printed products. You will play a vital role in ensuring quality output, fulfilling production needs, and adhering to procedural guidelines, all while maintaining excellent communication and attention to detail.</p> <p>This entry-level opportunity offers a starting pay of $17.00 - $17.50 hourly with regularly scheduled increases up to $20.90.</p> <p>WHAT YOULL DO ON THE A-TEAM:</p> <p>As a Bindery Technician, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Feed jogged forms into the proper pocket, continuously checking sample forms for correctness. </li><li>Prepare lifts of signatures for loaders and hand-feed pockets by filling them evenly and removing damaged forms. </li><li>Stack books properly and orderly on pallets to maintain pallet integrity. </li><li>Verify load tags and form identifications to ensure proper forms are at the machine. </li><li>Follow duties as assigned by the Bookbinder or Bindery Technician Level 3. </li><li>Re-pile all good forms found on the floor to their proper pallet to reduce waste. </li><li>Check books for proper trimming, wires, and markings. </li><li>Ensure labels are properly glued and bundles are sorted correctly. </li><li>Verify that inkjet printing is legible and sorted properly. </li><li>Ensure each mail bundle has its own destination, a supplied tag for each area, that bundles match appropriate zip codes, and load flags are properly attached to pallets. </li></ul> <p>As a Press Assistant, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Set up semi-automatic and automatic equipment that assists in stocking press products on skids. </li><li>Remove printed materials from the press, stack bundles onto skids, and move loads to the staging area. </li><li>Assist in performing press duties such as webbing up the press, changing ink, hanging plates, changing and cleaning blankets, and cleaning up ink, oil, or water spills. </li><li>Maintain good housekeeping in press area. </li><li>Assist in mounting blankets, plates, and rolls. </li><li>Maintain daily supply of rags and chemicals, ensuring sponge buckets remain clean. </li><li>Perform quality checks of printed materials. </li><li>Maintain a positive customer relations approach towards visitors, customers, and employees. </li></ul> <p>WHAT YOULL NEED:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Previous bindery or print finishing (cutting, folding, mailing) experience preferred but not required. </li><li>Ability to work weekends as required. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are desired. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to pass pre-hire requirements such as drug screen and physical. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent standing. </li><li>Frequent use of hands to type, finger, handle, grasp or touch objects and tools. </li><li>Frequently required to talk or listen. </li><li>Occasional sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending, reaching. </li><li>Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. </li></ul> <p>WHAT WE OFFER:</p> <ul> <li>Comfort & Growth: Our facility features a climate-controlled environment for your comfort, and we support your professional development with regularly scheduled wage increases and potential of accelerated training programs. </li><li>Health & Wellness: We provide comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and access to TelaDoc services for convenient healthcare. </li><li>Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a predictable schedule 3 to 4 days per week with 12-hour shifts on days or nights that include paid lunches and breaks.
