<p>Two, (2) Theater Technician, High School, Extra time</p> <p>$30/hour</p> <p>POSITION: THEATER TECHNICIAN Assistance</p> <p>JOB GOAL: To provide comprehensive technical support for school and community</p> <p>productions and events, including stage management, lighting, sound, and audio-visual</p> <p>coordination. Ensure smooth operations of all technical aspects, from equipment setup to</p> <p>performance execution, while upholding high standards of performance and safety.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Availability to work a non-traditional schedule with irregular hours as needed.</p> <p>Proven track record of embracing high-performance standards, including engagement,</p> <p>proficiency, and resilience.</p> <p>Clean record with no criminal violations that would disqualify public school</p> <p>employment.</p> <p>Verified training and relevant work experience in stage management, lighting, sound, and</p> <p>audio-visual coordination.</p> <p>Skills in maintenance and repair procedures (mechanical, electrical, carpentry, etc.).</p> <p>Effective interpersonal skills with an emphasis on active listening and creative</p> <p>problem-solving.</p> <p>Good time management and organizational skills.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Assist with:</p> <ol> <li>Technical Support & Stage Management: </li></ol> <p>Collaborate with the production director to implement a cohesive performance.</p> <p>Manage and coordinate lighting, sound, and audio-visual equipment, including</p> <p>installation, testing, and maintenance.</p> <p>Oversee the stage design, construction, and setup, including the placement and</p> <p>management of props and costumes.</p> <p>Check, repair, and inventory technical equipment such as control panels,</p> <p>microphones, soundboards, and stage lights.</p> <p>Coordinate and supervise technical support teams, including training and</p> <p>scheduling work crews.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Facility Management & Equipment Maintenance: </li></ol> <p>Direct the cleaning and restoration of the production facility post-performance.</p> <p>Perform equipment inventories and return rental equipment.</p> <p>Maintain effective document and records management systems related to</p> <p>technical operations and equipment.</p> <p>Prepare and maintain training materials for audio-visual and technical equipment.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Communication & Team Collaboration: </li></ol> <p>Maintain open and effective communication with production staff and performers.</p> <p>Develop mutually respectful relationships with co-workers and function as part of</p> <p>a cohesive team.</p> <p>Address and resolve issues with tact and diplomacy, supporting equality, diversity,</p> <p>and inclusion.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Health, Safety, & Compliance: </li></ol> <p>Adhere to health and safety protocols to mitigate workplace risks, including</p> <p>emergency preparedness and response.</p> <p>Protect district property and equipment, ensuring compliance with legal statutes</p> <p>concerning harassment, discrimination, and suspected abuse/neglect.</p> <p>Maintain a drug and alcohol-free work environment.</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Professional Development: </li></ol> <p>Pursue opportunities to enhance job knowledge and technical skills.</p> <p>Stay current with industry standards and practices, updating skills as necessary.</p> <ol start="6"> <li>Miscellaneous Duties: </li></ol> <p>Perform other specific job-related duties as directed to support district strategies</p> <p>and organizational goals.</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>The district ensures equal employment opportunity and maintains a drug and alcohol-free</p> <p>work environment.</p> <p>Employees must comply with health/safety regulations and be prepared for varied</p> <p>working conditions, including exposure to hazardous elements and challenging</p> <p>environments.</p> <p>Medium strength (frequently lifting/carrying 11 to 25 lbs.).</p> <p>Duties include verbal communication, crouching, near/far visual acuity, fine/gross</p> <p>manipulation, reaching at or below shoulder height and overhead, standing/walking,</p> <p>stooping, and using a traditional keyboard.</p> <p>NOTE: This job description does not establish a contract or alter any board-authorized</p> <p>employment agreements.
