<p>Exciting new opportunity!</p> <p>Our client is hiring a Building Engineer for a 13-story commercial building in Downtown Salt Lake City, UT.</p> <p>Apply, share and reach out with any questions!</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Building Engineer to ensure the optimal operation, safety, and integrity of our high-rise office building. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in office high rise maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems, and have experience working with complex machinery and systems. Your hands-on skills will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable facility that supports our commitment to excellence.</p> <p>Duties</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, HVAC systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. </li><li>Ability to coordinate tenant improvements and office build outs. </li><li>Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues involving industrial mechanics, welding, low voltage electrical circuits, high voltage systems, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. </li><li>Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future inspections. </li><li>Operate field service tools including scissor lifts, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely to access hard-to-reach areas or perform repairs. </li><li>Conduct electrical work </li><li>Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately diagnose issues. </li><li>Maintain compliance with safety protocols related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), welding, other specialized trades. </li><li>Support customer service initiatives by responding promptly to internal maintenance requests to minimize downtime. </li><li>Analyze system performance data to identify potential improvements or necessary repairs proactively. </li><li>Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades in the building. </li><li>Ensure all maintenance activities meet industry standards for safety and quality while maintaining documentation for audits or inspections. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, welding , electrical troubleshooting (low voltage/high voltage), and precision measurement tools. </li><li>Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and management. </li><li>Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately. </li><li>Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable. </li><li>Knowledge of industrial electrician practices along with analysis skills for diagnosing complex system issues. </li><li>Skilled in using field service tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic instruments. </li><li>Ability to operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely following safety protocols. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a team environment. </li><li>Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members. </li></ul>
