This is a full-time, position that reports to the Executive Director, School of Nursing, working collaboratively with the Program Directors and all appropriate faculty and staff to promote student success by ensuring appropriate and meaningful clinical placements and sufficient adjunct faculty. The Director of Clinical Education will teach one course each semester in his or her area of expertise.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:</p> <p>(The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with Clinical Coordinators to ensure program excellence</p> </li><li> <p>Provide leadership and support to coordinate the delivery of clinical education</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule clinical experiences in collaboration with clinical coordinators to determine clinical and adjunct needs</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and maintain adjunct, preceptor, and clinical affiliation paperwork and contracts</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct orientation, faculty development, and evaluation for adjunct clinical instructors</p> </li><li> <p>Collect, compile, and conduct basic analysis of assessment data in collaboration with Executive director and program Directors</p> </li><li> <p>Initiate community outreach efforts that enhance the development of the School of Nursing</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain contract agreements, files, and forms to ensure that all students and faculty have met the requirements set forth by the clinical agency</p> </li><li> <p>Teach one course/ semester in area of expertise</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists other School of Nursing Faculty as needed to promote a team effort.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports student success in a diverse environment</p> </li><li> <p>Potential for innovative and creative activity</p> </li></ul>
