The courses are part of Rivier University's Core Curriculum and are focused on mathematical thinking skills and applications of mathematics.</p> <p>Candidates will begin teaching in the Fall 2026 semester.</p> <p>Direction and Supervision are provided by the Program Director, General Education/Core Curriculum.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>To create an engaging academic learning environment, means of assessment of learning, and the development of readers and writers for the undergraduate student experience.</p> <ul> <li>Provide face-to-face and/or online course content in one or more areas of the core curriculum </li><li>Provide quality instruction, direction, and coaching of students throughout their course experience </li><li>Provide and support processes and procedures that enhance timely and constructive feedback and assessment for tracking of student progress on rubrics </li><li>Respect and support for the mission of Rivier University and the Division </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>PhD, EdD, MA, MAT or degree in Mathematics or related field from an accredited college or university </li><li>Enthusiasm for teaching students of all levels, abilities, and backgrounds and a commitment to teaching excellence. </li><li>Experience teaching with a learning management system (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, etc.). </li><li>Prior work or teaching experience in the field of English or Literacy is preferred. </li><li>Effective oral and written communication </li><li>Professional collaboration with faculty, students and the community </li><li>Plan, organize, prioritize and complete designated tasks related to teaching in the Core Curriculum </li><li>Work with other faculty and teach courses independently </li><li>Maintain privacy and confidentiality; and </li><li>Demonstrate computer literacy in software and internet applications </li></ul> <p>Supplemental Information</p> <p>Applicants should apply online and include a cover letter along with resume/CV at: https://www.schooljobs.com/careers/rivieredu/jobs/5355954/adjunct-faculty-mathematics</p> <p>All applications and nominations will be considered highly confidential.
