Responsible for general secretarial support to the nursing unit. Orders office supplies and office equipment as needed and maintains an adequate level of supplies on hand. Interacts professionally with other departments to obtain or distribute information as required, exhibiting a willingness to be helpful whenever possible. Maintains nurse#s station in a neat and orderly manner. Facilitates patient flow by managing admissions and discharges in EPIC.# Manage# patient menus Performs all related duties as assigned. # Assumes responsibility for coordinating with Nursing Administration scheduling of nursing staff, covering call outs and maintaining accurate staffing sheets. Works collaboratively with other staffing coordinators and nursing leadership to maintain appropriate staffing levels at all sites.# This includes floating, canceling or rescheduling staff. Schedules per diem staff for appropriate shifts according to the per diem guidelines and maintains personnel files. When indicated, and with administration approval, books agency personnel for appropriate shifts and maintains personnel files for agency staff. Maintains accurate and up to date daily staffing sheets. Maintains staff attendance and sick time. Cancels agency and per diem staff per established guidelines by administration to maintain appropriate patient/staff ratios. Works with the department of education to schedule staff in education offerings as appropriate or required for specific job. Is responsible for assisting nursing administration with payroll accounting/data bi-monthly.# Assists administration in having current licensure records. ########### # Communication Answers incoming calls, in-house and out, in a professional manner, projecting courtesy and helpfulness at all times.
