With a proud legacy in the industry, Hicks offers a fast-paced, friendly environment where customers and team members alike love to grow.</p> <p>Join our team and work closely with the Director of Safety and Facilities, the Lead Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician, and fellow team members to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of our buildings, grounds, and vehicles. This position plays a vital role in keeping our facilities running smoothly and may involve additional projects as assigned.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Building Maintenance </li><li>Perform repairs and routine maintenance on Company buildings, fixtures, and equipment. </li><li>Procure materials and supplies as needed. </li><li>HVAC System Maintenance </li><li>Follow documented procedures to operate and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems efficiently. </li><li>Inspect fuel tanks, maintain usage logs, and arrange fuel deliveries. </li><li>Perform or coordinate HVAC-related repairs and maintenance. </li><li>Electrical & Plumbing Systems </li><li>Assist with inspections and repairs as needed and directed by the Lead Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician. </li><li>Repair switches, outlets plumbing fixture as necessary. </li><li>Safety & Security Systems </li><li>Monitor and support fire, burglar, and temperature alarm systems and assist with inspections. </li><li>Ensure all related sensors and cameras are operating correctly. </li><li>Grounds & Property Maintenance </li><li>Participate in general upkeep of outdoor areas including snow plowing and field mowing as needed. </li><li>Irrigation Systems </li><li>Inspect, maintain, and repair irrigation components. </li><li>Assist in coordinating waste removal, monitor usage of compactor, containers, and recycling bins, and schedule pickups as required. </li><li>Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance </li><li>Perform or schedule routine maintenance and repairs for company vehicles and equipment (e.g., trucks, forklifts, electric vehicles, floor scrubbers, etc.). </li><li>Ensure vehicle inspections are up to date. </li><li>Alarm Response </li><li>Respond promptly and appropriately to fire, burglar, and low-temperature alarms. </li><li>Safety Awareness </li><li>Maintain awareness of potential safety hazards and take corrective action. </li><li>Perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections across the facility. </li><li>Special Projects </li><li>Assist with construction of displays, event props, and other tasks related to store events and initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to perform a wide range of duties, including:</p> </li><li> <p>Plumbing</p> </li><li> <p>Carpentry</p> </li><li> <p>Machine servicing</p> </li><li> <p>Mechanical repairs</p> </li><li> <p>Electrical repairs</p> </li><li> <p>Vehicle servicing</p> </li><li> <p>Competency in working with and testing Ethernet cables and RJ45 connections</p> </li><li> <p>Strong attention to detail</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to multitask effectively</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient communication skills in English (verbal, written, and reading)</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to operate a forklift safely</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to complete and maintain accurate work orders, records, logs, and other documentation (written or digital) as per company procedures.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>2-4 years of experience in:</p> </li><li> <p>Mechanical troubleshooting and repair</p> </li><li> <p>Electrical troubleshooting and repair</p> </li><li> <p>5-7 years of experience in:</p> </li><li> <p>Mechanical troubleshooting and repair</p> </li><li> <p>Electrical troubleshooting and repair</p> </li></ul>
