Be the difference.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Assesses, transports and administers basic and advanced life support treatment to ill and injured persons in accordance with department, system and South Carolina DHEC policies, procedures and standards.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health.? Be the difference.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides basic and advanced life support (ALS) interventions as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Assesses patient conditions, establish priorities, and implement appropriate treatment plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Administers medications, perform procedures, and use medical equipment according to protocols.</p> </li><li> <p>Safely transports patients to healthcare facilities while monitoring and documenting their condition.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains accurate patient care reports and complies with all regulatory and organizational requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in continuous professional development, training, and quality improvement initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures the maintenance, cleanliness, and readiness of emergency medical equipment and vehicles.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates all vehicles in a safe, courteous and efficient manner</p> </li><li> <p>Performs Point of Care (POC) testing with approval of Administration</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Supervisory/Management Responsibilities</p> <p>This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience - No experience required. One (1) year pre-hospital care experience preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>In Lieu Of</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience - No experience required. One (1) year pre-hospital care experience preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses</p> <ul> <li> <p>South Carolina or Provisional approved Paramedic certification</p> </li><li> <p>A valid driver's license; an acceptable motor vehicle record, as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart.</p> </li><li> <p>BLS (Basic Life Support)</p> </li><li> <p>ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)</p> </li><li> <p>PALS?(Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required within 90 days of hire</p> </li><li> <p>NPR (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required within 90 days of hire</p> </li><li> <p>PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support) - Preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Working knowledge of patient equipment (Vitals, suction, defib)</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of Cardiac Monitor, Defibrillator, Pulse Oximeter, Non-Invasive BP Monitor, Infusion Pumps, Other Equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to demonstrate skill proficiency on an annual basis</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to maintains Professional Certifications by attending in-service training programs</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Variable (United States of America)</p> <p>Location</p> <p>Mobile Care Ambulance Services</p> <p>Facility</p> <p>1024 Prisma Health EMS</p> <p>Department</p> <p>10247256 Ambulance Services</p> <p>Share your talent with us!
