We strive for excellence in supporting this network and are committed to providing the highest quality products for the well-being of patients.</p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Procures direct and indirect materials and services for Corden Pharma Colorado (CPC) and Corden Pharma Boulder (CPB) to meet complex development and production schedules, as well as sourcing new materials/services as required. Negotiates with vendors and coordinates the delivery of materials, and services. Communicates with Production management, engineers, chemists, and maintenance personnel regarding materials, parts, and site services specifications. Interacts with internal Process Experts and Supply Planner to keep abreast of process changes, and modifies procurement plans accordingly. May be responsible for locating or promoting possible new sources of supply by initiating Request for Proposals, analyzing same, and selecting appropriate suppliers based on delivery time, quality, conformance to CPC/CPB specifications and pricing. Is expected to keep abreast of market trends, changes in business practices in the assigned markets, new or altered types of materials entering the market, etc.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Identifies and purchases materials, i.e., RMs, consumables, safety supplies, lab supplies, spare parts to support current development and production plans, and new product sourcing activities and commercial sourcing needs </li><li>Uses SAP Systems to procure direct & indirect materials and Services needs, and logistics for development and production processes at CPB/CPC. Create the purchase order, obtain necessary approvals according to the Delegation of Authority, manage order tracking, and support invoice reconciliations </li><li>Is responsible for the requisition to payment process within the Finance and Procurement Systems, or manually as necessary </li><li>Leads sourcing efforts with internal customers and coordinate Material and Service needs with external vendors </li><li>Identifies and supports new initiatives for the site that promote cost savings </li><li>Contacts carriers to arrange transportation of purchases and support customs clearance for imports as required </li><li>Authorizes payment of invoices or return of merchandise and resolve issues pertaining to damaged goods, late deliveries, quality issues, and contractual disagreements </li><li>Ensures compliance of the requisition to payment process with respect to CPC and CPB Procurement Policies, Directives, Guidelines, and local SOPs </li><li>Qualifies new vendors and materials by gathering and evaluating specification information as required </li><li>Responsible for timely Bill of Material set up and maintenance in SAP for all assigned development or commercial projects to support production plan </li><li>Negotiates basic contracts, terms, and conditions of purchases with vendors </li><li>Analyzes internal demand requirements and external market conditions to identify areas of opportunity and improvement </li><li>Tracks vendor performance and addresses low performance/gaps </li><li>Manages suppliers to establish and build a positive professional working relationship to further the business opportunities and enhance the Corden Pharma reputation in the industry </li></ul> <p>LEADERSHIP & BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Provide guidance and leadership regarding procurement matters, such as lead-time and product availability, to the process team for scheduling purposes. Provides input to the budget process by tracking and estimating material costs. Solicits and evaluates requests for bids. Understanding of ethics in Purchases and Best Purchasing Practices, Techniques, and Controls.</p> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS</p> <p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.</p> <p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</p> <p>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.</p> <p>REASONING ABILITY</p> <p>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</p> <p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</p> <p>CPM/CPIM accreditation preferred and needed within 3 years of hiring date.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
