Join our committed team and help shape the future we envision.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Moffitt Speros Outpatient Center and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Proton Center are set to open in January 2026. This state-of-the-art facility, located in Speros, Florida, will offer a comprehensive range of cancer care services, including screenings, diagnostic imaging, infusion services, and advanced radiation therapy. The Proton Center will house the cutting-edge ProteusONE proton therapy system, providing innovative treatment options that target cancer with unmatched precision while sparing healthy tissue.</p> <p>The opening of these centers marks a significant milestone in Moffitt's mission to expand access to world-class cancer care and research. By alleviating space constraints at existing campuses, the Speros facility will enable Moffitt to enhance patient care and dedicate more resources to groundbreaking cancer research. Together, these centers will provide patients and their families with a wide array of sophisticated services and comforting spaces, furthering Moffitt's commitment to delivering hope and healing.</p> <p>For more details, you can visit the official page.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Radiation therapists work under the guidance of radiation oncologists to administer prescribed radiation treatment to cancer patients. Their responsibilities include performing patient treatments, machine warmups, calculations, simulations, and ensuring radiation safety measures. Operating specialized equipment, such as linear accelerators, they deliver precise radiation to specific areas of the body while closely monitoring patients, maintaining records, and providing emotional support. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Uses the information provided by simulation, dosimetry and Radiation Oncologists to consistently and accurately set up patients for daily treatments.</p> </li><li> <p>Be aware of radiation safety policies as they relate to the operation of the equipment and protection of the patient.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs and documents treatments in accordance with the planning documentation provided by simulation, dosimetry, and Radiation Oncologist. Able to perform radiation therapy procedures including but not limited 3D, IMRT, and CT Simulation.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform Linear Accelerator warm-up procedures. Documents variations and elevates to Physics/Service.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform CT simulator warm-up procedures. Documents variations and elevates to Physics/Service.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains equipment and reports machine errors to Physics/Service as</p> </li></ul> <p>required.</p> <p>Credentials and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree; In lieu of Associate degree, a high school diploma/ GED may be considered if ARRT certification obtained prior to January 1, 2015. </li><li>BLS certification </li><li>American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - (ARRT) RT(T) </li><li>Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience:</p> <ul> <li>1 year of previous radiation therapy experience. </li><li>Proton experience </li></ul> <p>Share:</p>
