If you have proven experience in launching new products at high volume, and a track record of leading successful projects, join Tesla to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI robotics.</p> <ul> <li>You will work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to take robot design in initial concept through prototype development and into full production </li><li>Provide manufacturing insights during product definition to streamline design for manufacturing </li><li>Drive the development of manufacturing line from initial concept to full-scale production </li><li>Spearhead the in-house development of innovative and intricate prototype manufacturing equipment in low volume line </li><li>Formulate assembly sequences and define critical quality parameters for efficient production </li><li>Partner closely with the technician team to swiftly implement design modifications on the production line and expedite the robot's assembly </li><li>Lead internal/external equipment suppliers to design production equipment in high volume line </li><li>Identify and troubleshoot a diverse range of challenging mechanical, electrical, software, control, data, and algorithmic issues </li><li>Calculate equipment capacity and line balancing </li><li>Mindset to apply first principles for problem solving </li><li>Proficiency in CAD tools (Catia and AutoCAD preferred) </li><li>Proficiency in mechanical assembly (press fits, fastener selection, harness, etc) </li><li>Proficiency in electrical integration, quality matrix, testing and trouble shooting </li><li>Familiar with torque tools, automation equipment, control systems and communication protocol </li><li>Experience in transitioning products from prototype to production </li><li>Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines </li><li>Exemplary verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Well-organized with meticulous attention to detail </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience </li></ul>
