<p>Position Type:</p> <p>New London Adult & Continuing Education/Site Supervisor</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/14/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>New London Adult and Continuing Education</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-time Night Supervisor, Hourly</p> <p>POSITION OVERVIEW: To provide the necessary educational, vocational, and leadership skills needed to attain the goals established by the Director of Adult and Continuing Education.</p> <p>TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>In the absence of the Director, the night supervisor must be responsible for the safe and orderly climate of the adult education facility. </li><li>Implement State mandated educational programs of Americanization/Citizenship, limited English proficiency and High School Completion. </li><li>Supervise all night staff members both professional and non-professional and report to the Director regarding their performance. </li><li>Assist in the planning and implementing of mandated testing requirements for all students. </li><li>Supervise data collection for the LACES system. </li><li>Assist in the evaluation process for staff members. </li><li>Recommend policies and regulations for the operation of the night program to the Director. </li><li>Assist both professional and non-professional staff members to help them perform their duties. </li><li>Provide academic, career, and life skills assistance and guidance to adult students. </li><li>Refer adults to appropriate agencies. </li><li>Contact appropriate substitute teachers for night school. </li><li>Perform such other related tasks as the Director may assign. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Masters Degree and valid Intermediate Administration or Supervison certification (092) </li><li>Experience working in Adult Education Programs with knowledge in adult basic education, high school diploma program, GED, basic skills, and ESL. </li><li>Ability to interact with a diverse population and relate to a large immigrant population in need of academic, vocational and career guidance. </li></ul> <p>New London Public School District is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.</p> <p>Candidates from diverse racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.</p>
