With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.</p> <p>This opportunity entails being responsible for performing basic contract administration and supporting field engineering functions in order to monitor individual contractor's compliance with specifications, plans and other contract provisions. Experience with NYCDDC specifications and procedures on sewers, water mains and restoration.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Assists Resident Engineer and/or Project Manager in the administration of the construction contract. Provides interpretation of contract plans and specifications and reviews contractor's shop drawings and submittals for contract compliance, as applicable. </li><li>Maintains as-built record drawings, project files, and records database including specifications, test results, and reports. </li><li>Keeps inspector's daily report of assigned work activities. Performs reviews for approval of contractor's monthly schedule submittals and pay estimates. </li><li>Coordinates testing and monitors services as well as quality control inspections. </li><li>Responsible for logging, tracking, and processing requests for information, submittals, change orders, and other project deliverables. </li><li>Prepares project progress reports, agendas, and minutes for meetings, conducts pre-construction meetings, and assists in preparing final project close-out documents. </li><li>Assists in review of inspector's daily reports for conformance with the project requirements, plans, specifications, quantities, contractor's progress, and as-constructed data. </li><li>Assist in the review, assembly, and processing of monthly progress payments. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years relevant experience, or </li><li>Master's degree in Engineering and 1 year relevant experience, or </li><li>Doctorate degree in Engineering. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring:</p> <ul> <li>Identifies complex discrepancies or conflicts within documents and evaluating the quality of work performed by using inspection checklists. </li><li>Performs increasingly complex calculations, develops plots and graphs using Excel, and drafts detailed reports for project reporting to the client with guidance from more experienced staff. </li><li>Performs basic shop drawing and submittal review and evaluates the contractor's CPM schedule. </li></ul> <p>What We Prefer:</p> <ul> <li>Engineer in Training (EIT)/FE </li><li>Proficient in using the PDMS Payment System for NYCDDC </li><li>Current NYCDDC Water Main Inspection Card </li><li>Current OSHA 10 </li><li>Current ACI </li><li>Familiarity with NYCDDC inspection reports, logs, and filing system </li><li>Proficient in using Visio and preparing all as-built records </li><li>Proficient in MS Office </li><li>Field inspection experience, including Sewer, Water Main and Restoration inspection </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Click here for benefits information: HNTB Total Rewards</p> <p>Click here to learn more about Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p> <p>Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.</p> <p>#JK #ProjectControls</p> <p>.</p> <p>Locations:</p> <p>New York, NY</p> <p>.</p> <p>The approximate pay range for New York is $72,602.78 - $136,130.21. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
