Our work depends on a Systems Engineer Manager joining our team to support the Department of State contract leading our Citrix operations team.</p> <p>At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Systems Engineer Manager supporting the Department of State IRM program, you will be trusted to lead a high visibility team that delivers a essential service to our client. In this role, a typical day will include:</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Leading a team of Citrix engineers in the delivery of classified virtual desktop services. </li><li>Leads and plans system maintenance, software update lifecycle and patching. </li><li>Ensuring that performance and security of virtual services meet the needs of network users. </li><li>Applying knowledge of job area to sustain current operations and architecture. </li><li>Working with client to develop future operations and architecture approaches to enhance virtual desktop services to include cloud virtualization. </li><li>Directing assigned engineers in client/server data integrity by monitoring and implementing standard software and hardware solutions. </li><li>Active participation and leadership in Event, Incident, and Change Management processes. </li><li>Active participation in Information assurance, A&A, Risk and Cybersecurity assessment and continuous monitoring processes. </li><li>Working to achieve agreed-to SLAs to resolve customer issues in a timely manner. </li><li>Organizing appropriate training and utilize commercial and government off-the-shelf products (COTS and GOTS). </li><li>Also performs same functions for peripheral devices such as scanners, printers, and fax devices. </li><li>Lead and oversee all phases of Citrix-related projects, including planning, design, implementation, and post-implementation support. </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Design, implementation, test, deployment, and operational experience with Citrix Virtual Application and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Citrix Workspace </li><li>Operational experience with previous versions of CVAD 7 1912, XenApp 7.15 </li><li>Operational experience with Wyse/Dell Zero Clients </li><li>Ability to translate technical topics into terms line and senior management can discuss. </li><li>SMART Card experience (PKI/CAC). </li><li>Strong customer service and strong communication skills (both written and verbal). </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, especially ability to listen and understand what is being described. </li><li>Working knowledge of ServiceNow ticket system; creating, updating and closing tickets. </li><li>Prior experience providing Systems Administration and Citrix support for a medium to large environment with active load balancing to a geographically separated data center. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail. </li><li>Experience with computer terms and customer service operations. </li></ul> <p>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>BA/BS (or equivalent experience) </li><li>5+ (8 preferred) years of experience in IT Support Operations </li><li>4 years of experience leading engineering team(s) </li><li>4 years of Citrix administration experience </li><li>Citrix Certified Professional Virtualization (CCP-V) </li><li>Active Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain </li></ul> <p>The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
