<p>Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description</p> <p>The medical assistant will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. This role supports clinician and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the patient population. The medical assistant is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform quality team-based patient care under clinician supervision. </li><li>Support clinician and care management teams in chronic disease management. </li><li>Conduct examinations and treatments for the patient population. </li><li>Perform laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Medical assisting </li><li>Patient care </li><li>Phlebotomy </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) </li><li>Ability to take manual vitals </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma required </li><li>2 years' experience within clinic/back office healthcare setting </li><li>MA diploma OR Certified MA (CMA) OR 3 years' MA experience </li><li>Phlebotomy experience required </li><li>Active driver's license required </li><li>Flexible to adjust to changing work environment </li><li>Experience with TriMed EMR preferred </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role is 100% onsite in a pediatric clinic. The shift is Mondays-Fridays from 7:45am-4:45pm and every other Saturday from 7:45am-12pm, totaling 45.75 hours per week. There is a permanent opportunity available, with compensation for travel between clinics and additional benefits if required to work outside core locations.
