What's yours?</p> <p> </p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of SAP Sales and Distribution to lead our IT team with a focus on optimizing shipping processes and generating value through efficient logistics management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP SD modules, shipping operations, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives that enhance our shipping capabilities.</p> <p>Serves as a subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with respective SAP modules. Candidates have the ability to apply functional knowledge to the design and customization of the SAP system to provide integrated solutions. Writes functional requirements and specifications, develops test plans, and works with and resolves production issues. Interacts directly with business and stakeholders to build strong relationships and develop deep knowledge of business processes, needs and pain points. Has the ability to understand business processes and how systems and solutions support and enhance these processes.</p> <p>What you'll do</p> <p>An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. (These examples do not include all the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.)</p> <ul> <li>Thought Leader for Logistics opportunities and value creation that can provide significant savings to help Hunter Douglas become the most efficient Window Covering company. </li><li>Design, implement, and optimize SAP SD solutions with a primary focus on the distribution module. Translate business requirements into functional and technical designs, specifications and solutions </li><li>Oversight and ownership of all technical aspects of the Managed Transportation solution (Hunter Douglas technology that communicates with the 4PL and manages Hunter Douglas transportation) </li><li>Owns the strategic development, design, implementation and optimization of the SAP SD solution. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements related to logistics and shipping. Ability to recommend best value opportunities to supply chain. </li><li>Develop and maintain detailed documentation of SAP SD processes and configurations. </li><li>Use SAP S/4 HANA functional knowledge, combined with strong knowledge of best practices and business processes to drive to the best solution across people, processes and technology. </li><li>Lead and participate in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals. </li><li>Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality. </li><li>Train and mentor junior team members on SAP SD distribution processes and solutions. </li><li>Stay updated with the latest SAP SD developments and industry trends to continuously improve solutions. Deliver improved costs of transportation thru ongoing improvements. </li><li>Determine standardization opportunities across plants in the network, build plans for implementation. </li><li>Build training documentation for business users and hold periodic training sessions for employees. </li><li>Partner with business functional leaders, as well as IT functional leaders on continuous improvement in regards to distribution. </li><li>Participate in project planning and scoping sessions to ensure proper coverage within the SAP SD framework. </li><li>Collaborate with IT teams to review and understand business requirements, assess available solutions, recommend options and implement solutions. </li><li>Maintain and develop knowledge of current and emerging technologies. Identify new and emerging solutions, assesses their relevance and potential value to the organization, and contributes to briefings of staff and business management. </li><li>Support business users in development and delivery of end user and ongoing training and education programs. </li><li>Follow the defined IT methods and approaches. </li><li>Position requires regular and predictable attendance including on site @ the Broomfield office. </li></ul> <p>Who you are</p> <p>An employee in this position, upon appointment, should have the equivalent of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Expert knowledge of systems and business processes within SAP SD </li><li>Expert knowledge of and experience with integration across SAP, specifically with WM, EWM, IM, PP, FICO and MM </li><li>Expert knowledge and understanding of the main business processes within sales and distribution and customer support. </li><li>Solid knowledge of inter-personal skills, combining technical competence with business and commercial awareness especially in handling contacts of all types and at all levels within and external to the organization. </li><li>Solid knowledge in application of IT change, release, problem, incident, SOX and continuity management processes. </li><li>Expert knowledge in configuration and has supported SAP SD and understands the integration points of with other SAP applications and modules - specifically IM, EWM, FICO, MM and PP. </li><li>Expert knowledge to translate business requirements, processes and designs into well documented, functional system designs and solutions. </li><li>Expert knowledge in analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills including the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms. </li><li>Expert knowledge and application of testing strategies, methodologies and has been responsible for executing unit, integration and user acceptance testing. </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain an SAP application (minimum release ECC, preferably S4) across a make to order environment using the SAP Variant Configurator. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate a solid systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving. </li><li>Ability to be self-motivated, take initiative and be able to work in a team-based environment, takes responsibility and shows skill in the management of change. </li><li>Ability to recognizes impacts of changes and ensures appropriate due diligence performed before making changes and is thorough in testing solutions before implementing to avoid rework. </li><li>Ability to be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate clearly, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and take direct requests from business and IT colleagues, strong presentation skills with ability to provide end user training. </li><li>Ability to accurately complete assigned tasks in a timely manner with minimum direction. </li><li>Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and closure. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate good organizational skills, detailed oriented. </li><li>Ability to hold themselves to the highest standards of professional behavior in dealing with clients, colleagues and staff. </li></ul> <p>What's in it for you?</p> <ul> <li>Annual base salary range: $75k - $101k </li><li>Bonus target range: 10-20% </li><li>Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability </li><li>A company culture that prioritizes internal development and professional growth </li><li>Time off with pay </li><li>401(k) plan with a degree of employer matching </li><li>Paid parental leave </li><li>Wellness programs and product discounts </li></ul> <p>Please note, all offers presented to candidates are carefully crafted to ensure market competitiveness, equity, and reflect the individual candidate's education, experience, skills and potential.</p> <p>Hunter Douglas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with applicable employment laws.
