It may also be used to bridge the gap between an out-of-state licensed social worker who is waiting Wisconsin licensure. This position is designed as a short-term position (not to exceed nine months-initial length of temporary license). Candidate in this position will transition into a posted and approved Medical Social Worker position as soon as state licensure granted.</p> <p>The Medical Social Worker-In Training role serves as an extension of the Medical Social Worker in providing a level of psychosocial services to diverse patient populations and an interdisciplinary approach to patient care to promote appropriate utilization of health care resources, provision of high-quality care, optimal clinical outcomes and patient and provider satisfaction.
