<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Facilitates all assigned individualized and group rehabilitative programming and counseling services to designated offender population to include orientation and assessment. </li><li>Documents all offender orientation, assessments, case management, crisis interventions and other rehabilitative services within the YOPRS database in accordance with YOPRS policy and standards. </li><li>Responsible for completing offender intake and eligibility for shock program participation and ensuring timely responses to the courts as outlined in statute. </li><li>Provides appropriate rehabilitative recommendations concerning juvenile offenders compliance for return to the SCDJJ custody/or conditional release with respect to offender's behaviors and progress made throughout services. </li><li>Works in conjuction with other agencies while participating in multidisciplinary meetings, classification reviews, and reentry planning conferences in addition to submitting monthly reports as required. </li></ul> <p>Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and professional experience in human services or social services programs.</p> <p>SCDC Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and professional experience in human services or social services programs. </li></ul> <p>OR</p> <ul> <li>An associate's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and three (3) years professional experience in human services or social services programs. </li></ul> <p>OR</p> <ul> <li> <p>A high school diploma and five (5) years professional experience in human services or social services programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess knowledge of psychology, sociology, human services and/or therapeutic techniques; appropriate communication, time management, and written/verbal skills, ability to operate a personal computer.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The South Carolina Department of Corrections is committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.</p> <p>Supplemental questions are considered part of your official application.
