Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. Reviews physician requisition orders and instructions concerning patient preparation for ultrasound procedure. Job requires the ability to perform portable exams in a variety of settings.</p> <p>Additional Job Description</p> <p>Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.</p> <p>Experience: At least 1 year of Ultrasound/Sonography experience preferred.</p> <p>Required Registration/Certification:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (S) or Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required.</p> </li><li> <p>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider</p> </li></ul> <p>If you like working with energetic enthusiastic individuals, you will enjoy your career with us!</p> <p>The Medical University of South Carolina is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
