<p>Overview</p> <p>Next 150 Construction, a fully owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Carpenter Forman. The Carpenter Foreman performs basic installation of materials on a construction site.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate carpentry tasks according to priorities and plans </li><li>Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew </li><li>Allocate general and daily responsibilities </li><li>Supervise and train workers </li><li>Ensure manpower and resources are adequate </li><li>Ensure that all safety precautions and quality standards are met </li><li>Resolve problems when they arise </li><li>Report on progress to Superintendent </li><li>Perform daily carpentry related tasks as required </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>2+ years of construction experience </li><li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>In-depth understanding of construction principles and procedures </li><li>Ability to read construction drawings </li><li>Excellent organizational and leadership skills </li><li>Ability to communicate and report effectively </li><li>Strong problem solving skills </li><li>Willingness to work in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment </li><li>OSHA 10 hour certified ( will assist with obtaining this certification if necessary) </li></ul> <p>Next 150 Construction Services has an unwavering focus on safety, the environment and caring about everyone involved in our work.</p> <p>Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.</p> <p>Next 150 Construction Services is not accepting unsolicited resumes from third party recruiters at this time.</p> <p>Next 150 Construction Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
