Unlock your potential here!</p> <p>Here is some of what you can expect from being a Histotechnologist with us:</p> <ul> <li>You will provide quality service, a safe, accurate, timely testing for neonates through adolescence, and the adult and geriatric patients in the Laboratory in compliance with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, and CLIA 88 Standards </li><li>You will integrate current scientific knowledge with technical competency, which relates to the Pathology Department </li><li>You will continuously strive to improve clinical testing, confidence, and knowledge through formal and informal education </li><li>You will be knowledgeable of age-related (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics) quality of patient care </li></ul> <p>Qualifications you will need for this role:</p> <ul> <li>ASCP preferred. Eligible for registry; continued employment will be based on licensure. </li><li>AS or BS degree in related sciences preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years' experience that demonstrates the knowledge and expertise necessary. </li><li>Working knowledge of all Histology Procedures-Embedding, Microtomy, Tissue Processing, Fixation, Decalcification, Routine and Special Staining, and Immunohistochemistry. </li><li>Familiar with all equipment in the Histology Laboratory. </li><li>Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments or refers to appropriate sources for repairs. </li><li>Good communication skills. </li><li>Able to embed 75 blocks an hour. </li><li>Able to cut 50 slides an hour. </li><li>Able to perform H&E stain with consistent results. </li><li>Able to perform all special stains and IHC procedures without unnecessary repeats. </li><li>Able to cut and stain frozen section in 5 minutes. </li><li>Able to perform all cytology slide preparation work. </li><li>Able to order pathology specimens accurately and efficiently. </li><li>Able to provide quick, accurate customer service. </li><li>Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately. </li><li>Able to adjust to changing workload. </li></ul> <p>HCA HealthONE, one of the largest and most comprehensive healthcare systems in the Rocky Mountain region, offers more than 170 care sites in the Denver metro area.
