The Janitorial Worker independently cleans assigned areas within designated buildings using industry accepted methods, equipment and safety practices.</p> <p>Competencies: (6)</p> <ul> <li>Ethics/Integrity: 25% </li><li>Interpersonal Skills: 15% </li><li>Quality: 15% </li><li>Dependability: 15% </li><li>Project Management: 15% </li><li>Results Driven: 15% </li></ul> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform general building cleaning that includes bathrooms, office areas, common areas, stairwells, windows, shelving, doors, auditoriums, classrooms, kitchens, cafeterias, etc. as stated within scope of work. </li><li>Perform cleaning functions that will include vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, buffing floors, strip and wax floors, emptying garbage and recyclables, cleaning tabletops, microwaves, refrigerators, commonly used appliances, glass/mirrors, etc. </li><li>Perform general exterior building maintenance that may include snow shoveling, walkway sanding, outside garbage pickup and container cleanup. </li><li>Operate industrial equipment that may include scrubber, burnisher, power washer, snow shovel/thrower, etc. </li><li>Perform work efficiently and to all contract specifications. </li><li>Maintain and replenish inventory of supplies and materials. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill contract requirements. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma. </li><li>One year of experience in routine maintenance/custodial duties preferred. </li><li>Depending upon assignment, must be able to work in a variety of settings, weather conditions and locations. </li><li>May be required to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays to meet contract needs. </li><li>Work independently, utilize good judgment, and possess a strong sense of initiative. </li><li>Must be able to pass a comprehensive federal and state background check. </li><li>May be required to pass a Dept. of Defense Federal Clearance Check, depending upon assignment. </li><li>May be required to be in possession of a vehicle during shift to drive to other work locations, depending upon assignment. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Distribute and utilize equipment and work materials, which frequently include lifting, carrying, pushing, stooping. </li><li>Move weights up to 30 lbs. on a constant basis and 50 lbs. on an occasional basis. </li></ul> <p>The Kennedy Collective invests in the success of all new employees by providing an immersive new hire orientation and training experience.
